Thank you so much for posting about this! You are absolutely right. I'd also like to add that the arrangement of Aniron within "The Council Of Elrond" track on the original release is very different than on this release. Enya's vocals are much louder on the original sountrack version and, as you pointed out, the new version also shortens her solo slightly. This is a very annoying subtlety for those of us with an ear for such things. It really takes you out of a piece of music when you notice something missing or something added that shouldn't be there. I first noticed something strange with this release with "May It Be". I definitely noticed that the choir was missing. On the other hand, I'm very thankful to now have the film version of the track. It's also worth noting that the new version is the only self-contained verison of the song available (without orchestration bookending it). Still, I have decided to keep my old soundtrack as well. Please continue to educate people about this and also, please post similar lists for the two sequels' complete recordings releases should it be necessary. I, for one, am listening.
