So who is going to wait till the film comes out?   Wednesday, November 21, 2001 (12:07 p.m.)

I know I am. I dont want to be watching the film and then going "Oh yeah I remember this part of the score"

Am I the only one who does this?

Well surly i'll but this cd, no doubt about it, i just need to get out of the house, but I won't listen to it till I watch the movie!!!!! It's part of the surprise!! enough of the expectation was ruined by the trailers and ads all over the net, I feel like i already saw the entire movie 20 times, so why destroying everything!??!?!

I've seen no point in that, myself. Even when I try to listen to the music in a movie (as a seperate entity), if the movie is good, I forget all about it and they both become one. If the movie is rather dull and I find myself checking my watch, that's when I start taking a notice to the music. So, I have confidence that LOTR will not be a dull movie (especially juding by the music) and I therefore will not be focused on music I've already heard on the CD. Everyone's different of course. Others, like yourself, may become occupied/distracted with the music they've already heard just because that's the way they are. Plus, if I've been anticipating a score and torture myself by waiting (in this case a month), when I see the movie I may just become occupied with the music for that very reason.
