noone cares about your alternative review   Wednesday, November 21, 2001 (8:13 a.m.)

Why do you always have to mook off this website?! Its retarded.
Everytime there is a new review you go posting a new message. You might as well say
"PLEASE visit my website, pretty pretty please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

You trying to run a movie score review website. That is fine. But posting shameless links on every review is sickening.

Why? Since Filmtracks is overwhelmingly the most highly visited soundtrack site around, why not try to mooch off of its popularity? Makes sense to me.

I will say though that ScoreReviews.com is highly irregular in what it decides to do and not do.,. not a regular place for me to hang.

easy fellas...   Friday, November 23, 2001 (10:06 a.m.)

Easy there fellas.
Let's all just get along and shake hands.
Its good that people post or link alternate reviews to this site
because I don't go to other score review sites on regular basis for updates.
This site is my portal to other reviews.

And Zach2:
The subject line is clearly marked ALTERNATE REVIEW.
Here is a suggestion-If you don't like it Don't click it.

Agreed. Mooching off a popular review site? Theft is an honor...

Besides, when analysis and commentary runs as deep as nuggets like--"A scores' weakest point is its themes, some people say. Actually, I just made that up, because I thought it sounded good."--there is little to worry about. Filmtracks reviews go their erratic way as well, and we are left to read and choose whatever information is helpful. No loss at all.

You are aware of the fact that you don't have to read my messages, or my reviews, right? And what's wrong with offering alternative reviews? Shameless? I don't think so. Christian has even said that we (the other film music webmasters, that is) are more than welcome to post links to our reviews here.

You just made my top 10 list of assholes.

Wow....this is incredibly harsh. You might as well say "PLEASE marvel at what an utter jackass I am."

I actually enjoyed this guy's review more than the one on this website. This website is more inclined to bitch about the cd packaging, politics, and marketing then discuss the music. I love how the music as heard in the movie gets 5 stars and the cd gets 2 stars....yet the guy hasn't even seen the movie. Just because Enya gets some press, which is probably good for selling the score, the cd only gets 2 stars???? It has over an hour of score!! That is better than most cds.

I also think the Harry Potter review on this site is incredibly negative. Talk about the glass is half empty. At least the reviewer does his homework. Unfortunately he misses the forrest for the trees.

Doug

Aren't these review boards are great?

You what would be cool though, is if that "Alternate review" gets 1000 views. Thats about twice the number of people who live in the town I grew up in

Well, carry on everyone, I'll shut up now
