Return of the King trailer music   Monday, September 29, 2003 (4:23 a.m.)

Does anybody know what music is played in the last part of the ROTK trailer? I think it could be a part of the ROTK score...

I think you may be right. It sounds a lot like the "Gondor" music played in FotR when Boromir was giving his speech at the council of Elrond.

Let's hope this is music from RETURN OF THE KING! And hopefully it is on the cd

Actually, according to Audible Beauty (www.audiblebeauty.net), the piece towards the end is "based on "Epicalypse", using Shore's Gondor theme". I have tried finding a downloadable copy of "Epicalypse", but have not been able to so far.

Hopefully this one will be on the soundtrack, but if they follow the same pattern as the previous two trailers, it won't be. I guess we'll know in a month or two.

I couldn't find a link to download the music but I found a link that says what music is in the trailer. Here is the link:

http://www.soundtrack.net/trailers/?cid=L&id=1368

But it says it includes Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers music. I was just wondering...which tracks? I really want to know the name of the short vocalizing track where you see a scene of Minas Morgul when all the army of Mordor is going out. I think it's the only vocalizing track in the trailer but I would really want to know the name. Does anyone know it? Please e-mail me if you do.

After a hard ridden searching of finding my song that I like in the RotK trailer, I figured out my favorite was not your favorite. ^That previous link was confusing to figure out what I want to listen to.

Anyways this site:

http://www.audiblebeauty.net/trailers.htm

Spells it out where your favorite song is in the trailer for the LOTR series. Quite nice. Mines placed at 1 min 02 seconds. This site tells you what song and everything... Hope this helps

You can download it from http://www.sa-matra.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/lotr

It's called Epicalypse but on this site it just says: "Return of the King Trailer"

I have no idea. Unfortunately I haven't gotten a chance to see the trailer yet (don't you hate computers?). All I can say is that Requiem For a Dream was the perfect choice for The Two Towers trailer. Man it gave me goosebumps!

I disagree. It was a kick-ass trailer, but as far as representing the film of "The Two Towers" it didn't so such a great job. I think in part when I saw the Two Towers there was a bit of Dissappointment in that I did not see the film I expceted to see from watching the trailer. Nonetheless I enjoy the film fully now, but at first I think I was a bit dazed. The music was just too funky for The Two Towers.

The music for The Return of The King trailer is different from any of the other movies. It says more "DRAMA!" rather than "ACTION!" I get the feeling that with regards to atmosphere the third film will be a mix of The Fellowship and The Two Towers.

The music was made for the trailer. It was not taken from any other film or existing music, which means it is very very probably original music composed by Howard Shore, and that it should be in the film and on the CD due on Nov. 25.

The first two songs are from the two towers and the last song is acually a remix, kind of a beefed up version of the gondor theme from fotr and i have no idea if it will be on the rotk soundtract.

I heard a similar tune to this song in several places througout the movie, and it is definitely part of Return of the King, but this actual song itself is nowhere to be found on the soundtrack!! Major bummer.

I think it is track 3 on the Return of the King Soundtrack, Minas Tirith. The music played in the trailer sounds like the end of the track.
