Despite my hesitations about the stylistic approach of "Into the West" I really can't complain about the main theme portrayed in it. I think this theme worked better towards the end of "The Black Gate Opens" and even better in the closing moments of "The Grey Havens". I think that moment will be the big emotional moment that we've been waiting for. Yes, it is contemplative, but within the context I think it makes perfect sense. As for "Into the West", I bet that it's played exclusively over the end credits much like "May it Be" was for Fellowship. Overall, my second favorite of the soundtracks, following Fellowship.
