Why does Filmtracks bother reviewing these nonsense scores instead of things film score fans really want to read about? Enough with the Ottman lovefest at Filmtracks!

Actually this is what I want to read about. The big blockbuster stuff by Howard, Horner, Silvestri -- I already know what I need to know about those guys and their styles. I can make an informed decision on my own.

But a score to a flop by a less established composer who's more hit-or-miss? I'm much more likely to turn to reviews of a score like this to help make a decision about whether to check it out.
