Well I think Christian was a little harsh in his review. Especially giving it only * star. But I think Hans Zimmer did miss the mark on this score. He tries to hard to overproduce things. And tried to shock the audience with noise and experiments with drums. I think this score to many times loses its emotional connection with the audience and with its character. Still there are some good cues in the score. Flight and What are You Going to Do When You Are Not Saving the World are worth repeated listens. But some cues just miss the emotional mark like the end of Tornado, Krypton's Last, . It's a good score that manages to deliver what is expected. But could have done so much more for the film. And I disagree I think Ottman's score for Superman Returns was far better than Zimmer's Man of Steel score.
