I'd say the problem is more Zimmer's inexplicable habit of layering his own synth samples over the live orchestral performance, effectively negating any organic sound that performance may have had.

Thankfully, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 doesn't fall victim to this obnoxious practice. For the most part.
