The asotoma chant is actually the "chant of india" that buddhists chant in relaxation phases. The Matrix Revolutions actually has a strong interwound religious basis that is potrayed through out this movie, and all the others (including the Animatrix). It is unusual that the Brothers decided to hide this deeper, spiritial meening andthe thought of so much background needed to write the script really shows the length and entiraty the whole cast went to to create this movie
