I'm always hesitant to pick up one of the Eastwood/Niehuas scores, because they are often so spare and dull on album. However, Million Dollar Baby is a little bit better than average for them. While say, "Space Cowboys" sounded dull on album and in the movie, "Million Dollar Baby" was heartbreakingly effective in the film. If you've seen the movie, it brings the score up at least another star. Without being able to realize the context, however, it may seem a dry listen.
