Why not Shifrin himself?

Lalo Shifrin is still active, and he has given strong action music to Bret Rattner films ("Rush Hour"). So I think Cruise&Wagner should give the man a chance to score a M:I film; he is the father of the sound we all miss in that series, so he probably could be a good choice. What do you think?
