Once again, I have to disagree   Saturday, May 26, 2001 (7:04 p.m.)

I think this is Goldsmith's finest action since Total Recall. How much does anyone wanna bet that if this were the same music, except that John williams name was on it, that it would be praised to high heaven and get at least a 4 star rating. Anyway, this is still a very great score no matter who does it, and it deserves more praise than it gets. ***** or a 10/10

Dear Goldsmith fan,
I could not agree with you more. This is truly a great score. Wonderfully written by our Jerry Goldsmith.

The more I listen to this score, the better it gets. It sounds even better when you compare it to The Mummy Returns Score, which did not live up to Goldsmith's original masterpiece. The cues on the DVD isloated track that did not make it on the cd release are fantastic. This is one of the greatest action scores of the last decade. The brass writing and performances from the orchestra are spectacular.:b

Uh huh... I suppose you think all a score needs to have to get a 5-star rating is the name 'John Williams.' If anything, many people might be more critical of Williams because they expect each of his scores to be a "Star Wars" or an "E.T." Lighten up, and don't be so dense. If John Williams had done this score, it probably would have gotten the same rating. You are entitled to your own opinion, certainly, but don't say such stupid things.

Is this supposed to be me responding? Well, lemme just say this: IT'S NOT! I in no way apologize for stating my opinion. I was saying that John Williams practically has his rear end wiped by the score fan community and I can't see why in God's name it is. He's quite overrated if you ask me. Much of his "action" scoring sounds so happy, happy, joy, joy that it seems he wrote it without even knowing what the film was about or what was even on the screen. Goldsmith's music has some b*lls!
