Awesome score   Friday, March 9, 2007 (4:24 p.m.)

You know when I first heard the original score for The Mummy and compared to the ammount of music to that for the film I was disappointed with how much music was left off of the OST. I didn't realize too at the time that the Region 1 DVD had an isolated score to it that I had to record it instead of ripping it like you would with most isolated scores.

In also comparing with some cues, "My Favorite Plague", "Rebirth", "Discoveries", "The Sand Volcano" and "End Credits" their film version counter parts were edited so I used the unedited album bits. For "My Favorite Plague" I did edited back in the opening version part from the film to the album version. Over all I really love this score and it's very under-rated in my opinion. I actually perfer this over Alan Silvestri's version especially for Rick and Evelyn's theme and Imhotep (The Mummy)'s theme. Don't get me wrong Silvestri's versions of those themes are good but not nearly as a great as Goldsmith's.

This complete score I made from the DVD Iso score and the album is a major treasure in my collection.

P.S. I will note, I didn't include the piano source music since that does nothing for me and I don't like source music that much.

Disc One
01- Imhotep (4:14)
02- The Sarcophagus (2:11)
03- Tuareg Attack (2:18)

09- Giza Port (1:56)
10- Night Boarders (4:03)
11- The Caravan (2:39)
12- The Camel Race (3:19)
13- Then There Was Light (1:24)
14- Blue Gold (0:49)
15- The Salt Acid (0:23)
16- The Crypt (2:22)
17- The Broken Bottle (0:9)
18- Mummia Attack (2:14)
19- Rick and Evelyn (1:01)
20- Discoveries (3:42)
21- He's Still, Juicy (0:42)

I've been wondering if you could possibly host this score on-line somewhere like Rapidshare if you're still there. I only have the version of the movie that came in the three-disc pack, so I don't have the isolated score. I'd really appreciate it if I could get my hands on the full score.

I agree. But I did infact have lots of luck finding this Complete Score, but, no luck downloading it. Its like seeing beautiful women but not being able to put my penis inside them. One day I'll get it. I have a lot of complete scores, but not this one, one day I'll get it. I do infact like the movie and the score heard from the film. I'm into the whole treasure and old history, almost as much as I love porno movies, so I guess I'll be impressed with this "Complete Edition/Score" for "The Mummy".

Thank u Pudgy for giving us the list of cues. I will think about you the next time I ejaculate!

Much appreciated.

TTYL

PS: The Mummy 3 comes out later this year (I think).

******* Guys,

Please please please, just buy your music on amazon cheap used cd's of film scores don't often run that much. Help the composers out... $00.001 actually goes to them. Its part of the reason Hollywood is a machine...we won't buy the CD's.

Z.
