hello. I'm thinking of buying the music CD for this film, but I can only listen to 30 sec clips online and these really don't sound like the beautiful pieces in the film. can anyone tell me if "The New World Score" is what I am looking for? thx.

The music you heard in the film was probably by either Richard Wagner or Gustav Mahler. James Horner's score was partially rejected by director Terence Malick, so it's not surprising that what you have heard in 30-sec clips doesn't seem familiar to what you heard in the film. Hope I was helpful!
