The music you heard in the film was probably by either Richard Wagner or Gustav Mahler. James Horner's score was partially rejected by director Terence Malick, so it's not surprising that what you have heard in 30-sec clips doesn't seem familiar to what you heard in the film. Hope I was helpful!
