I've seen many westerns in my lifetime; as this movie rolled along I conjured up the old Zane Grey stories and thought of the gritty westerns on screen such as Shane and Lonsove Dove. Open range was in a word "great" I think it won't be appreciated till later. A good story and well directed equals a good movie. Thanks for the good entertainment. My wife is not a great fan of westerns so as far as she was concerned the best compliment was made about two thirds through the movie, when she said "I'm buying this movie" that said it all!
