This is absolutely one of my favorite films. Fans of Antonio Banderas will fall in love all over again when he tells his wife, "I am someone - more like myself when I am with you...." To me that is incredibly romantic. When the difference between love and lust is explained to Banderas' character by his friend and business partner, Banderas states, "I want to give her everything, and I want to take everything from her...." In my opinion, that's the kind of love many people want from their lover.... His love for her is incredibly unconditional, as he proves at the end of the movie. Maybe he was a fool, but everyone needs to be loved like this at least once in their lives.....Jolie does put it on a bit - (is she like that in real life?) but that didnt' take away from the beauty of the story, at least not for me.
