The Perfect Storm |

The Perfect Storm, next to Titanic, Schlinder's List, Braveheart and Saving Private Ryan, has to be one of my favourite movies this year. The music throughout the movie was very moving and the script, although it was based on a true story, was well written. To end this comment I must ask: Does anyone know what the track is called which is played when Bobby is in the sea talking to Christina though his mind?

On the CD Release the music you refer to when Bobby is in the raging sea at the end is track 9 titled "There's no goodbye...only love" the specific timing of when it kicks in is around the 5mins and 50 secs mark. Incidentally I think that ending with the voice over was pretty corny ( I think it would have been moodier to just have Horners melancholic music over the top), but if you've ever read the book by Sebastian Junger he mentions that Chris has that recurring dream of Bobby saying he'll be back etc etc, I guess the producers thought it packed emotional punch. Incidentally the DVD of the Perfect Storm is great especially the audio commentaries by Wolfgang Petersen, and Sebastian Jungers commentary is a great compliment to his book. If you haven't read the book, do! just as good if not better than the movie!!!!
