There's going to be a new remake film based on the original "The Poseidon Adventure". It's called "Poseidon" and it's directed by Wolfgang Petersen (Troy, Outbreak, The Perfect Storm). It will be premiered on may, I think, and Klaus Badelt is already composing the music.

Yeah, too bad John Williams couldn't expand on the main title from "The Poseidon Adventure" and use that to score "Poseidon." If not Williams, Howard Shore, Alan Silvestri, or Trevor Jones would do. We'll see if Badelt can stretch beyond the realm of his Hans Zimmer colleagues.
