Don't ever say, that this page is NO Anti-Goldenthal site.

A detriment to the Varèse album, however, is the inclusion of Elliot Goldenthal's mutilation of the 20th Century Fox theme from Alien 3 at the start of the product (is there any particular reason why this irritating interpretation needed to be on this CD? Goldenthal does well enough mutilating [ ] the music on his own albums!).
Especially the unnecessary comment in brackets shows, that objectivity is not your strenght. Whereever it's possible the works of Goldenthal get demoted.
I can only repeat, what i stated on your "Batman Forever" Review.
It's not bad to know little about the works of music, but it's a shame, if you then still try to judge music, although you can only say what you like or dislike, without real objective reasons. Reviews by filmtracks ONLY comment, not value. Nevertheless objectivity is the only thing that justyfies a review. Than the subtitle of the site should be "Modern Soundtrack Comments", so everybody knows, that these are PERSONAL opinions, not objective (or professional) recensions. I'm not a Goldenthal fan, but forgive me, that it still astonishes me, when I see that quality is degraded by such airy and unqualified comments.
One word about Predator: A nice score that deserves 3 to max (!!!) 3 1/2 stars. Nice ideas, technical standard. Percussional work not comparable to Goldsmith's First Blood or Total Recall. But objective reasons are not your strenght. I already know.
Goldenthals Horror Version of the Fanfare: Appropriate for Alien³ (and also for Predator) and a very nice idea, too.
NP: Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (Patrick Doyle)
