2.5 Stars max   Sunday, December 23, 2012 (3:52 a.m.)

I read this score review the other day and actually went out and purchased the 3D Bluray telling myself 'yeah I know I've read it's only a 5/10 for a movie but the music has to be stellar'. I was wrong, it's really just not great. Yes it's obviously making use of a vast orchestra with choir but I didn't hear anything that had emotional impact, or any really desirable theme. I liked Christoper's score for The Core so i was disappointed.
Just as J.S.L stated, it's overestimated.

The word J.S.L. meant to use is "overrated" or "underwhelming" (sheesh) and Priest's soundtrack is neither. 2.5 ratings are for garbage scores. Priest has excellent themes, but its sound mix/quality is its best feature. Maybe you need to hear it apart from the awful movie: that's how I've been listening to filmtracks' five-star scores. I'm always blown away by the outcome. You should get the soundtrack in its best condition.
