Too Much Toil and Trouble   Tuesday, June 27, 2006 (1:35 p.m.)

This score was okay, but a disappointment. The "Double, Double" theme is alright in limited doses, but Williams goes all out with his leitmotif obsession and plays it on almost every track. Aunt Marge's theme is humorous but totally forgettable, the Knight Bus sequence is ridiculous (it sounds as though the orchestra is tuning up), and Hedwig's Theme is virtually nonexistent. The new theme, A Window to the Past, is soothing, but it also gets tiring after a few times. All in all, "Sorcerer's Stone" and "Chamber of Secrets" are much better than this.
