This reviewer seems to have missed the point of the score in this film, and perhaps the role of music in film in general. The 'confused' music that is 'lacking in stucture' brings you inside the head of Sandler's character. His thoughts are chaotic until he finds... love. Tah-dah.

It's mixed high through the chaos, at times it's almost impossible to hear some of the dialogue. It works brilliantly.
