Living, working, breathing - what else is there?

Been collecting film music since I was about 12, after I saw Glory for the first time. Didn't quite know what it was about the music. Didn't even think I'd like a whole tape (we had these things called tapes back in those days) without words. Turns out I loved it, more than loved it really, and the rest is history!

I collect pretty aimlessly, I'll sample just about anything, and I try to stay open to new composers and new techniques. My tastes have changed quite a bit since the early days - I used to be a Horner freak, and his style was how I judged all others. Now, while I still like a great theme, I've really gotten into more subtle, technically complex work. But I like it all!

Some lists of favorites, which I really can't rank because they change so much:

Murder in the First
Glory/Legends of the Fall
Rudy (big-time sentimental favorite, for lots of personal reasons)
AI/Angela's Ashes/Schindler's List
The Shawshank Redemption (was robbed by Lion King, robbed I tell you!)
The Thin Red Line
Only You
Joe Vs. the Volcano/Agnes of God
Lord of the Rings

Georges Delerue
All of those wacky Newmans
Chris Young
John Williams
Jerry Goldmsith
Cliff Eidelman
Mychael Danna

MOVIES (Post-1980)
LA Confidential
Searching for Bobby Fischer
Real Genius
What's Eating Gilbert Grape
The Verdict
Glengarry Glen Ross
Shawshank Redemption
Empire of the Sun

(There are many, many, many more)

MOVIES (Pre-1980)
12 Angry Men
Anatomy of a Murder
The French Connection
Close Encounters
Kramer vs. Kramer
Wizard of Oz
The Conversation

(many more of these as well)

Grace - Jeff Buckley
