Anyone know where I could find other similar recordings of the Russian choir music? It's beautiful and I'd like more! thanks!

Moonlight over Moscow is a very nice CD, and you can/should find plenty more if you search for "Red Army" in any p2p-program (KazaaLite, Imesh, EDonkey2000, Direct Connect etc.).

Another great cd is Russian Favourites by Red Army Choir (published by Naxos).

Look for the Chorovaya Academia, directed by Alexander Sedov. Their CD "Ancient Echoes" is astounding. They have basses who can sing an octave below normal bass range. Should give any stereo system a workout. Barnes and Noble usually carries stuff like this (good music, I mean).

If you're more into records (LPs, 33-1\3s) try "The Cossacks!". "Monotonously Ring the Bells" is very similar in flavour (sorry, couldn't find Russian title, or hear quite right). Also the rendition of Volga Boatmen. I couldn't find any on amazon or on ebay, mine was used from a thrift shop.

I used to sing with a local chorus, and we once sang Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overature in Russian. It rekindled my appreciation for this piece.

Choral music is, in my opinion, the most beautiful music. I get a shiver up my spine from the Hymn to Red October (the main theme) when I hear it.
