Filmtracks audio samples are too short

like the majority of these sites the sound clips are far too short to get an appreciation of what the track is like. With many intros these day taking more than a minute to develop into the actual theme it would be better to sample a passage from the middle or where the most representative music lies. How else can a meaningful feeling of the track be gained if one is intending to purchase the album? I would presume that these 'teasers' are released by the record companies for promotional purposes but they are doing themselves a serious disservice by cutting clips so short.
