Since conversation appears to be eluding the subject of the score of ROTS itself I feel compelled to contribute to the growing number of posts in this nature. It is disheartening to see that a medium that could be used as a helpful vehicle to further the understanding of film music has been debased to a level where petty bickering and nitpicking over reviewers prevails.
Though I do not agree with everything Mr. Clemmsen says, in the posts where I disagree, I have attempted to counter with empirical observations and the conclusions I've drawn. Instead, I shudder to recount parries as week as the typical "ur just stupid" or, my favorite: "your wrong because JW its awsum".
I blame myself for naively falling under the assumption that one could find enlightening conversation about music from a bloody online forum. Anyone who wants to talk about thematic construction, leitmotif interpretation (by the way, yes it is present in the prequel trilogy; albeit the meanings have changed or have been given further clairvoyance), or even something as simple as the orchestration can find me quietly sipping my caffeine-laced coffee with a Palpatine-esque smirk on my face watching the fanboys fight futilely to the bitter end.
