I agree! I think this is a very underated score of Bernstien's (both of them) but in particular the "G" troop theme is a great piece. It would serve any band (marching or otherwise) extremely well. Boisterous and exciting it captures Roosevelt's Rough Riders very well. I in particular can't but help but think of TR whenever I listen to it.

It may not go down in the annals of film scores as one of the greats but is well worth the time.
