I guess there's more than one version of the trailer. The original theatrical trailer (see http://movies2.nytimes.com/gst/movies/trailer.html?v_id=119912 ) is absolutely unmistakably W.Kilar's Exodus. Its been edited down quite a bit to condense the theme for the trailer, but its the same composition. If you have the NAXOS CD of Kilar (readily available at budget price on Amazon and on iTunes), whilst its a different recording, you'll find the music in the trailer cuts in at about 3m 10s into the track, until about 6m 15s, with absolutely no room for any doubt.
The full track is over 23 minutes long and consists of variations of the same theme throughout, and has been often compared with Ravel's Bolero.
Incidentally, it took me years to find out what this music was, and I'm very grateful to this forum that I eventually found it.
