  Re: David Newman...Serenity Score

I really got into Serenity (and now Firefly) and I like the cultural mash up feel in places, but DAMNN-- that end cue "Love" when the ship breaks thru the clouds is absolutely beautifull, powerfull & emotional..I kinda wish there had been just a little more of it in the score (of that particular cue) dont you think? I keep listening to it over & over...

> Did we see the same movie?
Did we hear the same score?
Did you
> read Joss Wheadon's liner notes on the CD?

> The Serenity movie is a cultural mash-up.
Newman's score perfectly
> nailed the feel of the film.

> In the liner notes of the CD Joss Wheadon said he wanted
> "everything".

> David Newman gave it to him.. and then some.

> I saw an advance screening of the film without Newman's score.
Newman
> elevated this film 200%.
