  About the score...

The song "Jai-Ho" was pretty damn catchy, but the score is really irritating and not very Oscar worthy. If the film wasn't so hyped (I loved it anyways), then the score would have no chance in hell of being nominated. But that's all the academy awards is all about, isn't it? Hype and more hype. I'd rather anyone but Slumdog Millionaire win, thank you very much, although a sinking feeling festers in my gut each passing day... I mean, don't get me wrong, parts of the score really impressed me, but the sum of the whole doesn't quite compare to it's fellow nominees.
