Who cares what musical technology and equipment gets used. If you feel the music your listening too...Thats all that matters! Zimmer is the master at creating catchy themes wether its for a big action film or a little film like Spanglish. Also his music always sounds full! The reason why Zimmer is so popular is that he doesn't write in a classical sense. He is not formally trained in classical music and never studied the classical genre at university and crap like that. Instead of studying one musical style for like 4-6 years he's been out and about experiencing and listening to every style u could think of. He never has focused on one form of writing which is why his music is so refreshing. He incorperates every musical style and doesnt rely on the orchestra format of writing. Lets put a flute there because a bird just flew past...no he doesnt write like that. He writes with feeling and not notes. The reason why i love Zimmer's music is because in a movie... if a glass falls off the table... he doesnt write a quick phrase of music to describe the glass falling... all of his music is created for the characters/lighting and atmosphere and mood. Zimmer is an unbelievable musician who knows how to write to a human's emotion. He never lets the music try to decribe whats happing in a scene...he lets his music compliment and blend with the scene and their characters. Zimmer is just one of a kind! Damn haha Can't wait for Batman with James newton howard and Zimmer. Oh and Episode 3! YAY cmon Willaims write some really dark stuff! cant wait! Peace to all and hope there is some great scores to come this year and if anyone is looking for a cool score to buy.. get The Incredibles haha heaps of fun! and Spanglish is a bitter sweet listen that will get glued to ur head! great themes!
