Leave behind this sinful music and ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST as your SAVIOUR   Tuesday, August 17, 2004 (10:21 a.m.)

Eternity is a really long time. Don't ruin it by listening to EVIL MUSIC.

If you or someone close to you listens to this music, and has not accepted God, please do so today. The following prayer can save you or someone that you love.

Say: "Oh God, save my soul. I'm so sorry that I have sinned against you, but I have come home. I will serve you, Lord, the rest of my life. Deliver me from all my sinful habits. Set me free! I do believe Jesus died on Calvary for me, and I believe in His blood, that there is power in His blood to wash away all my sins, all my sins!"

Say: "Come into my heart, Jesus; come on in, Jesus. Come on in!"

If you meant it, He has come. If you meant it, Jesus is yours. Start reading your Bible, pray daily and believe that somebody's listening; His name is Jesus.

Re: Leave behind this sinful music and ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST as your SAVIOUR   Tuesday, August 17, 2004 (11:34 a.m.)

My friend, it is not necessary to ask Jesus into your heart. God said, "BELIEVE (rely) on the Lord Jesus and you will be saved" (Acts 16:32, John 3:16) also see Romans 10:9. And this music is, by no means, sinful. For what reason should it be cast aside? It's a good piece of music. If you want to lead people to Christ, by all means, go for it. But please don't chase them away with extra rules that needn't be followed, or give them a step-by-step process by which they can be saved. It simply isn't necessary. Faith proven by works is.

Anyway, about the soundtrack. I like the new variation of the theme! I wasn't sure how'd they'd start the 2nd and 3rd films. It seems, there'll be 3 variations of Danny Elfman's adrenaline-pumping Spiderman theme! (which, of course, I like). Spiderman music is amazing!!

Mmmmm to the first guy...maybe you should give a listen to Goldsmith score for The Omen.... maybe you'll like it....

About the spiderman score....i think it was good but not surprising...it's not that i expected a lot from a franchise score...but maybe something new... even so!
The maint title did remind me of spidey swinging from roof to roof, and that is worth the entire cd!!!!!

I hate people who are this shallow. Do you honestly believe that the 68% of the world that isn't christian is going to be damned for eternity? Don't listen to fundamentalist morons. I have nothing against spirituality; I'm actually quite a spiritual person myself. But small-minded fundamentalists....ugh.

Did you know that there are about 35,500 different religious groups in the world today, and that over 34,000 of those are fragmented christian groups? I think that they need to get their act together.

Cries of a fearful man. Live well, according to the words of christ himself as they are recorded, and you'll be fine. Don't listen to people who twist them (ie., fundamentalist preachers).

Oh, and I own and love the soundtrack. I'm listening to it right now.

Sinful?   Sunday, August 22, 2004 (7:12 p.m.)

I don't fully understand why this particular individual has labeled the spiderman score as sinful. While many people may take offense at what he or she has typed, one must remember that he has the freedom to post what he wishes even if it has nothing to do with music. Being a Christian, I don't believe in this type of evangelistic approach. I personally love the spiderman music as well as much of Elfman's other work. I think that I can safely say that spiderman music is not sinful. I believe that the individual who posted that comment was just passing through. I doubt his message will have any positive effect whatsoever. I, therefore, would like to apologize on his or her behalf.
Thank You!

I have to agree. You really hit the nail on the head there. If this guy wants converts, he just picked the worst place and method to do it.

And, as someone who works for a non-profit Christian ministry (IBLP), I can safely say that the Spider-Man movies and music are some of the best I've ever seen and I RECOMMEND THEM TO ANY AND ALL COMERS!
See ya, dudes!

While I don't think this is the appropriate place for this kind of posting, and while I like the score, I think that the freedom of speech should be upheld here. Remember, the amendment protects the speaker, not the listener. He can post whatever he wants, but it's your choice to read it.
