Solid score.

I found the Spiderwick Chronicles to be a solid score, but I'm not completely blown away by it. It's a score when the emphasis is not based on big themes, and it works. The theme from Casper sticks out, and you can either be frustrated by it, or you can ignore it and carry on listening. I would agree that Flight of the Griffin is the best cue, where Horner puts real magic into it. I found the last two minutes of the end credits disappointing because nothing happens. I would give it four stars.
