Chris, please stop using the "opinion" cliche to try and silence people. Yes, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but by reading the review, people can find parts where the reasoning of the person who wrote it seems totally irrational. In this case, the reviewer (probably Clemmensen) is undermining the score by putting his own elitist preferences above it. He is closed-mindedly sticking to arguements about segregating genres, rather than the overall effect of the music, and expresses a lot of negative cyniscm towards "pop music" in general. Rather than appreciating that other people will enjoy this genre and the Zimmer approach, and impartially giving it a rating based on the overall sound, Clemmensen is getting hung-up on personal musical principles, and generalising saying "nobody who wants to watch a film about horses will enjoy this music". Given the amount of contradicting feedback on this forum, statements he makes such as those are undeniably wrong, and drag down the credability for the rest of his arguements. I know personal opinion is allowed, but you have to realise that sometimes people can approach reviewing with completely the wrong mindset or criterion, which becoms evident in the review itself. This annoys me because this review will be viewed by so many potential buyers and fans, and it denounces the album for reasons that the majority of soundtrack listeners wouldn't even consider otherwise.

I just dont like it when people bash Christains reviews by saying things like "hes just wrong" or "or hes stupid because he doesnt like this score".
If they dont like the score fine, but post something more than "hes just wrong".

Ya know, I gotta side with you. The music is great. Without it, the movie, well, just Spirit wouldn't have the "spike" he has. He wouldn't be rebelious and it wouldn't have been portrayed so well. I gotta say, Mr. Adams did an excelent job.

Good voice to fit the moods.

(Gotta love, get Off of My Back! )
