The score is not that good

I think the score is actually not worth 5 stars. Pieces of it are actually wonderfull, but the music doesn't always fit to the actual action going on on the screen. Not to talk about those crappy passages without the theme.

The theme itself can in no way hold up against Goldsmith's and the original theme is poorly integrated.
Whenever you see the enterprise it DEMANDS the Goldsmith theme, instead we get something that isn't even compareable.

Spocks death is almost patheticly scored. With the right music, the scene and the following funeral would have been so much better and sader.

Overall I would give it only **,5 stars, after all, pieces (without the film) are quite listnable.
