  Good,but could have been better

This soundtrack contain music for most Star Trek TV series (Deep Space Nine,Voyager,The Next Generation and The Original Series).Problem is,that they pick better music from some TV series than another ones, which might cause disappointment among the fans of those ST TV series who got less interesting and exciting music from their beloved show.Music from The Original Series is average, and although it might impress the fans of TOS,those fans who like those ST series which have more modern music, might not like it.The less enjoyable and one of the most enjoyable musical pieces are both contain by the TNG section : the music of the episode Heart Of Glory is full of monotonous rhytms and awful soundscape, while the delicate flute solo, beautiful string work, soft and gentle brasses will likely impress all Star Trek fans. The most emotional music on album is the music that are written for DS9.The suite from the episode Visitor is simply breath-taking:beautiful,sweeping and rousing melodies with excellent strings, soft and gentle brasses and delicate woodwinds, further accompanied by outstanding piano work in some tracks of DS9 - Visitor. The music of the episode of Heroes And Demons are full of outstanding performances : Dr. Schweitzer are exciting, sweeping and colourful action music, while Armagonnen starts out quietly, but then became a suspenseful and action track hibrid by the end.Last Hope is a quiet, soft, relaxing and gentle melody, whereas Where Is Freya - To The Rescue is a complex track : parts of it are sweeping, soft and gentle melodies, while other parts are exciting, bombastic and powerful or elegiac/sad.
This album is safe to purchase for fans of DS9,Voyager and TOS,but for fans of TNG might approach it with caution.
