It is well known that the post-production schedule on The Ghost and the Darkness interfered with Jerry Goldsmith's scoring of Star Trek: First Contact, hence Joel Goldsmith's involvement in the project to meet the deadline. Interestingly, while listening to this score, I noticed that the action portion of the cue, Locutus, is strikingly similar to parts of the cue, 'The Lions Attack' from The Ghost and the Darkness, especially in orchestration. This is most irregular, given that the composer (even if related) is not the same. Has anyone else noticed this?
