FilmTracks.com is a totally stupid biased site - Titus is great   Tuesday, July 15, 2003 (8:40 a.m.)

Does anybody listen to the opinion of FilmTracks.com writers anymore? What a waste of time. Titus is a masterpiece and FilmTracks.com predictably can't understand it so they give it a low review. Stupid reviewers writing stupid reviews for -mostly- stupid readers.

This site is pathetic.

so since I like danny Elfman, I am stupid?   Thursday, July 8, 2004 (12:51 p.m.)

Just because I am a very big fan of Danny Elfman's work, doesn't mean that I am a maniac or that I know nothing about classical music. Wow Christian, you continue you show yourself=pissing me off. I have to tried to stick up for you with my posts but all I seem to learn is that I am a punk for liking Danny Elfman and/or Elliot Goldenthal but don't love John Williams like EVERYONE ELSE. Oh dear I guess that makes me NOT mainstream....I appreciate William's works a lot but I just don't worship him like everyone else so sorry. Also, to say I know nothing about music history is very judgmental because I have played piano for oh say 10 years (I am 15) and I do believe I am well versed in the masters (Bach, Mozart, Liszt, Chopin, Bartok etc etc). I am pretty good with theory as well. SO thanks for calling me an Elfman maniac! Like I said before, see if I stand up for you anymore and you’re ridiculously biased reviews. I appreciate your view and opinion on matters but that post you made (the graphic) is absurd. I love your website so I shall return. I am not going to say I won’t be back b/c that isn’t true and we all know I will be. But thanks A LOT for making me feel nice and stupid!

As to ignorance...   Monday, April 18, 2005 (4:41 p.m.)

While some "fanboys" may indeed show a lack of knowledge concerning Silver and Golden Age, the reviewer should recognize that not every score stands in the tradition of these times, nor has to.

Apart from this, it's obvious that the filmtracks reviewer himself shows a considerable ignorance towards all forms of progressive contemporary music. He most often can't deal with music that goes beyond romantical, European-influenced classicist style. Very reactionary! That's the flip-side of the coin.

And it makes a certain deal of his texts quite worthless for listeners that are familiar to the modern music world. But I suppose that's not the group of readers filmtracks.com wants to appeal to.

Yeah, their opinions are a waste of time! Cristian Clemmensen thinks he knows everything about filmscores but I bet he hasnt even composed a score HIMSELF!!! It is time for Clemmensen to go and someone else run a correct Filmtracks.com site!

1) Clemmy owns Filmtracks. He cannot fire himself, can he? I hope this question doesn't strain your brain too much.

2) Since when is composing a reqiurement when reviewing scores? Please, please elaborate!
