Amidst a film music world of today where creativity and intellect seem almost lost, Elliot Goldenthal's music gives a glipmse of true genius.
Having heard of the greatness and eclectic aproach the composer had taken on this one, as strange as it may sound, it makes for a very cohesive listening experience, due without a doubdt to Goldenthal' skills for blending various styles. Nevertheless, the dominant mood is the dark one developed in many others scores by the composer.
So,if you enjoy bland scores such as the mediaventures ones, avoid it. If you prefer a more clever and rewarding music, and enjoy Goldenthal, pick this one up. It's worth having.
