Ummm.... he resuses plenty of material, just like any composer. He wrote a rejected partial score for MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE and much of that popped up in ERASER and The Long Kiss Goodnight... and in TOMB RAIDER 2. He copies himself just as much as any composer.
