The Mutant is a masterpiece   Wednesday, March 26, 2003 (1:34 p.m.)

Tracks like "The Mutant" are a clear example of how Jerry is the absoloute master of the mystical/powerful/religious sound when required. That music send shivers up my spine and tears to my eyes. His superb use of synth in his work is magical. Just like the spices sprinkled on a plate of food. That's how it should be done. Wonderful score by Jerry.

I won't say Goldsmith is the master, but i do agree that 'The Mutant' is a master stroke in Film cues and my favourite single Jerry moment!

Recently, 'Forth Eorlingas' from 2 towers took my breath away and is the best cue of the moment, and present, unless anyone else can think of any more??!!

Absolutely right, Jerry will be remembered as one of the great composers of our time for the work he did on pieces like the mutant. In fact, I think Jerry has retired...so we have already reached the time to remember his greatness.

Luckily not. He's still composing, and his 75th Birthday concert in the Barbican (London) in Feb 2004 should be great (as last year was). I will be visiting for a great night of movie music two days before my 30th Birthday. So it will be a landmark for me and him.

- Indeed it will, I have personally met him, and shook his hand. Then listened to a great, smaller scale concert of his. Excellent, in every way. The man is a genius. You will not be disappointed.
