You've got a point, but some of the names you've listed there, especially Trevor Rabin and Harry Gregson-Williams, as well as a few you haven't, such as John Powell, have taken the basic ideas that they learned from Hans Zimmer and have taken them in their own original, new directions. Gregson-Williams' scores for the Narnia films, for example, use recognizable Zimmer ideas, but G-W's use of woodwinds is something that he himself has come up with.

Steve Jablonsky's "Transformers" is nowhere near the originality of these better Media Ventures/Remote Control offerings. I like to try and guess who did the soundtrack for a movie while I'm watching it - my guess for Transformers, unsurprisingly, was Zimmer himself. Jablonsky's taken ideas from King Arthur, Batman Begins, Black Hawk Down and several others, but hasn't added any of his own ideas.

Not to beat up on the score, though. I admit, I enjoy listening to it, but it's a bit of a guilty pleasure as I know it's some pretty unintelligent music I'm listening to.
