Many reviews are commenting on Alan's applicable use of the stacatto Choral arrangements, and I must admit comming from a drumming/rhythmical background these stacatto shouts are extremely effective, and are quite appropriate I believe in such a movie. The stacatto performances on the Van Helsing soundtrack almost remind me of what Carl Orff had written for his song "Fortune Plango Vulnera" (Carmina Burana)! Although Alan Silvestri has complimented his work musically with more than just basic power chords/triads, which has a menacing and brooding effect!! Well Done Mr Silvestri!
