The composer pictures featured on nearly all of the reviews at Filmtracks have been updated, now offering photos of the composers taken within the last three years. Only in a few cases is the photo of a composer older, either because no recent one exists in the public domain or because the composer is deceased. In the case of the latter, an effort was made to use a photo of the composer in the last years of his or her life, and those pictures will represent them permenantly. Generally, a composer must have at least two of his or her works reviewed at Filmtracks to receive a photo with the coverage.

The older photos are still available for viewing in the albums linked from the Composer Tribute section at Filmtracks. The new photo album includes 16 additional composers compared to the 2003-2009 album. The original 1997 album is still available as well. The general quality of the images has improved through the years, though some are still less than optimum due to few available options. Every few years, additional photos will be included as careers merit them.
