Filmtracks has debuted a new design for all of its non-archived sections and it represents the most technologically significant update to the site's code since 2003. Building off of the most popular features of the 2009 Filmtracks design, this one retains the same general presentation of its content while adding more modern typography, stylish imagery, and, most importantly, a mobile alternative. Every single piece of HTML and CSS code was rewritten from scratch for this redesign, allowing the site to use HTML5 capabilities that will position it well for many years to come.

The Scoreboard has also been reset for the first time since 2006, adding some new features while enjoying a speed increase. The forum has become the anchor of this site in recent years as the quantity of new reviews has diminished, so don't hesitate to create a profile and get involved today.

As always, there will be minor bugs that need fixed now that this transition has been made. On the desktop version of the site, most of these have already been completed in the past day. On the mobile version, there remain font size issues relating to resolution on different products. If you see anything obviously awry with the new layouts (or simply have general feedback), please post about them on the Scoreboard or send the site an e-mail (www.filmtracks.com/contact/).

The next few weeks will see continued additions to the designs, mainly in the advertisements and other monetization features. If you like the new layouts, please do donate to the site (www.filmtracks.com/donations/) to help support Filmtracks during the transition period. Your feedback and support is vital to helping guide the future of this site as it approaches its 20th anniversary.

Thanks again to everyone for contributing to the thriving community at Filmtracks all these years!

Christian
