Let's pretend for a moment that the record companies and composers hand
over the rights to all their scores to us loyal fans (yes, yes, I know
--only in Fantasyland). But if the dream was to come true, here's the
scenario: You get to choose your favorite track off of any released
score that was composed for a 1990's film, and the tracks that end
up with the most votes will appear on the compilation!
The rules of voting are simple. Make sure the score you choose your
favorite track from was released in the 1990's. Then, using the form
provided below, type in the title of the score, the composer, the number
and title of the track as it appears on the original soundtrack release,
and the length of the track. For simplicity purposes, you must choose the
entire track (not just a single cue within). Also, let's keeps this
to orchestral tracks --no songs. You can vote once a day (one track a
day), and we've set up a nifty CGI script to ensure this (after the fiasco
with the last vote, when people were voting 20 times in the matter of a
minute...). Your vote might take a few hours or more to be tallied because
we need to verify the year and title of the release. Overall length of
the CD will be 76 or 77 minutes. When the final vote is taken, the
lowest scores on the voting table will be cut off dut to time
constraints. If multiple tracks from the same score appear on the
final list, only the highest one will be included on the compilation.
Voting ends May 15th, 1997.
Audio clips in RA 3.0 format will be provided for most of the tracks that
appear at the top of the final vote count. Check back soon!
