When I first created this website in 1995, my handful of poorly written soundtrack reviews shared space with a movie poster gallery and a collection of memorable movie quotes. Then, to my astonishment, Ellen Edgerton, webmaster of the first grand soundtrack site, filmmusic.com, added a link to my page and I suddenly realized that there was a budding community of film score lovers on the web. So in February, 1996, I left the posters and quotes in the dust and devoted my spare time to the site I would call "Filmtracks." By October of that same year, the site would have its own domain name and 72 short, poorly designed, yet spirited reviews. Since then, Filmtracks has expanded exponentially, with almost 1 million views of the home page and 34 million views of all the pages put together.

At the left, I've put the screen images of the Filmtracks layouts from almost the beginning (I have too much dignity to display the very first one -- it was quite terrible) through to the current one. Now I need to know where you guys want to see the site go in the future...

So just as I did with Filmtracks' first anniversary years ago, I want to step back for a moment to ask you, the repeat and first-time visitors of Filmtracks, for some feedback. I've got many possible plans for the future of the website, and your input will help me guide the site to the destination that you'll find most useful and entertaining. I am most appreciative for any feedback I can get, and I'll post a summary of the results on the Filmtracks ScoreBoard Forum at the end of the month.

(note: because I'm short on money and time for the site, I obviously can't grant every request for the future of the site... so please try to keep the comments constructive. Thanks!)
