The Great Fantasy Adventure Album (1994) This is perhaps the best
action/adventure film music album ever assembled. It is diverse,
featuring music by Williams, Horner, Goldsmith, Elfman, Poledouris, and
more. The performances are all great, and the sound effects are neatly
mixed with the music. Best of all, this Kunzel does not include tracks of
music from any of his other albums --it is all fresh. The suites are
arranged well, and May Festival Chorus adds great depth to Henry V
and Red October. The performances of The Abyss and
Seventh Voyage of Sinbad are the best highlights. Overall, I
recommend this CD to everyone and anyone! *****
