Star Tracks (1984) This is perhaps Kunzel's most simple album, featuring almost entirely John Williams music. The themes we have all heard before, and although the performances are good, the CD lacks anything fresh to offer. ***

Star Tracks II (1987) With a greater variety of music and the introduction of sound effects, this CD is much improved over the original Star Tracks. The highlights of this CD are the Star Trek tracks, however these tracks appear (with better performances) on Kunzel's 1996 Symphonic Star Trek. Otherwise, Back to the Future and The Right Stuff are great tracks. Leonard Nimoy makes an appearance during Horner's Star Trek II and is mixed well. The sound effects include humpback whale songs, Kingon Bird of Prey torpedoes, and warp drive noises originating from Star Trek. ****
